S.L.J 2019/2020

Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa

For this activity we would like you to think about your own experiences and your own cultural background. Where does your family come from? Do they come from Europe like Abel Tasman, Polynesia like Kupe, or somewhere else?

I am Fijian Indian and because I am Fijian Indian and India is in south Asia that means I’m an Asian

too. I love living on a farm in New Zealand.

  1. Hi Priyansha

My name is Allie and I am part of the team that will be reading your blog over the summer.
Thanks for sharing with us about your family. Were you born in Fiji or New Zealand?
If it was Fiji, how long have you live in New Zealand?
Can you tell me what is important to you and your family as far as values go?

My Mum was born in Australia and my Dad in NZ. I was born in a place called Dargaville which is at the top of the North Island. But I love living on the West Coast. We are very lucky to live here.
I bet that it is great living on a farm! Do you have any jobs on the farm?

Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading more of your work over the summer.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
