Baking Cakes

Baking cake

This week we made cake. I made It with Isaac instead of Jess because she went to Porters Pass with the rest of the room one. Isaac helped me bake the cake we baked the cake with some of the kids from room two the kids they were Stella ,Charles and Tamzin. We made a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and chocolate chips inside it looked amazing and tasted amazing too. We did have a little bit of a problem with the oven temperature but at the end it was worth the wait. Because the seniors went to camp and the juniors got too bake Jess and I already thought that we would have to bake also with the seniors or else it would be unfair so we are also baking next Thursday. Not sure what we are going to be making but it will be a desert. Here are some photos of us baking

Baking Wedges

Last week Jess and I made wedges with another group. We made paper bags to
put them in because there weren't many things to do in making wedges.
Everyone in the school got a bag full. We made five trays full we also had sour
cream and chilli sauce on the side with a little bit of salt. The potatoes came
from our garden so they were incredible fresh. We will be making a desert next
week.

Baking On Thursdays

A couple of weeks ago Jess decided that she wanted to do some baking. She wrote a letter to the teacher and Mrs Dodds said that it was a good idea. Jess and I have been organising what we bake each week and what we need. Before we started we needed to find out who has food allergies so we knew the food was safe for everyone.

first week Jess and I made waffles with one group from the senior class and the junior class. The week after that they made banana and chocolate chip muffins they were a blast we ended up making sixty of them. This is the third week and we are making wedges. Also the potatoes will come from school garden.

Each group gets one turn at making something and we might also continue this next term.

Here is a photo of what we baked last week.
