WOMEN’S RIGHTS
For this activity, let’s imagine that the government decides to create a new $10 bank note and replace Kate with a picture of a different New Zealand woman. On your blog, tell us who you think the government should put on the new $10 note. Please provide us with a picture of this amazing woman and a short explanation of why you have selected her as Kate Sheppard’s replacement.
I believe that if Kate Sheppard’s photo is on New Zealand's $10 note It is there for a reason but if I had to pick a replacement then it would be Jacinda Ardern because she is a woman and also the prime minister of New Zealand.

I like your idea to choose Jacinda Ardern for the $10 note. Being the prime minister of New Zealand is quite an achievement. Why else do you think she should be on the $10 note? NZ has also had another woman prime minister before. Her name was Jenny Shipley. She was actually New Zealand’s first female prime minister! Have you heard of her before? Why do you think it is an achievement to be a female prime minister?
I am looking forward to hearing back from you as this is a really interesting topic and I would love to hear more of your thoughts on this.
